About Tower of Dawn

Tower of Dawn (Throne of Glass, #6)

In general, I liked the book, the whole fresh, new part of the world and how detailed everything was described. You could feel the sand, smell the lavender, see all the places: the palace, the huge tower. I loved how you can feel how great and beautiful a place is and at the same time think, “How is this place so peaceful while another part of the world is at war?” It feels very much like the world we live in.
One important thing is that I did the tandem reading, so I was, at the same time, knowing what was happening in both parts. For me, it was perfect. I know it’s not for everyone, but in this case, it makes sense to do it.
Here, we finally get answers, how everything started, who started it, and the story behind it all. We also get hope. We have my favorite character, Yrene Towers. I just love how she is developed in this story, who she is and who she becomes. And the beauty of the ruks! I love those birds!
I liked that it was calmer, more focused on forgiveness, and on how your beliefs shape who you are, but life itself can change you in so many ways. I think this book is about that. It’s not my favorite in the series, that’s true, but it’s a necessary part of the story. Amazing things happen here, and the really sad part is knowing that I’m almost at the end.
